SALVIA.

Madrid Design Festival 2026.

Salvia was born from an ethical, material act of care: revaluing platinum-cure silicone waste by reinterpreting a historically fragile typology through permanence and tactility. We create soft, resilient vases where form does not hide its origin—it embraces and declares it. Contrast guides the work: precise, calm containers that order; free, chaotic contents that remember. Order and contingency coexist. Ocean, Sulfur, and Coral name a chromatic genealogy anchoring the material’s memory and revealing what others conceal: residues, traces, recollections—recast to hold life: water, stems, flowers, time.

New craft of recovery and reuse of silicones. We work with unique, disposable molds, generatively conceived for controlled pours and cures. We collect, sort, and mill platinum-cure silicone residues once considered lost, reincorporating them into fresh casting material. We manually control viscosity, ratios, pigments, curing times, and temperature to induce meaningful micro-variations. Each piece is demolded, cleaned, and refined by hand, making the process, the interior, and the mold’s trace visible with honesty. The result is a small, coherent collection in which every element is unrepeatable.
